Jodi Monroe leads Home Trust of Skagit, a thriving community land trust focused on helping families realize their dream of owning a home. She says, “shelter is a basic need and one that she’s passionate about.” Jodi along with the Board of Directors completed its first signature affordable neighborhood in Mount Vernon with the financial backing of the City of Mount Vernon and Skagit County, plus partnered with Habitat for Humanity.
Jodi’s forte is marshaling people and resources and navigating politics! She says, “we can do anything with the support of government, businesses both small and large, and fans!”
Jodi is a native Skagitonian and former television journalist. She’s served in an executive director capacity for several organizations, including the Washington State FFA, Skagit County EMS Commission, and the North Region EMS and Trauma Care Council. Jodi is most joyful about supporting her three kids through college and law school.

Darene Follett, CPA, serves as the company’s bookkeeper. Darene is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is the current CEO of PSRFCU. She has a BA from WSU in Business Management with a focus in accounting and professional writing. She came to us with a strong background in management and audit & nonprofit accounting, working as a manager for Safeway for over 17 years and then public accounting as a Senior Auditor/Business Tax professional prior to starting at PSRFCU in 2015.
Melissa Luke, Office Manager for Home Trust of Skagit brings over 25 years of experience in the areas of administration and oversight. Through this position, Melissa is exposed to all aspects of affordable housing and non-profit work in the Skagit Valley.
